This work is a maquette for Celebrate, 2013, a public sculpture measuring 21 ft tall and currently exhibited in Chicago. "This small sculpture is very special to me; At the wonderful age of 91, I am still making maquettes to future fabrication for a public placement. I just love making these powerful female sculptures who stand in for me as I fight for women's recognition."

Trained as a painter, by 1971 Ruth became a sculptor exploring the human torso. I worked with clay from 1971 to 1990.

Painted steel and stainless steel work is 28 inches high by 12 inches wide and 13 inches deep.
